meeting the neighbours
Get it? Meeting the NEIGH-BOURS?! I bet you did not know that I am a comedian! You can tell your friends about that joke, I honestly don't mind.
Anyway, there is a reason for the horsey photos! My boyfriend's mum has just moved house to an area that kind of resembles the English countryside. So today after we checked out the new house, we drove around the area for a bit. After a few minutes of me squealing, "HORSES! NEEEIGHHH!" out the window, I made my boyfriend pull over so I could go and frolick with them. I don't know if you are aware, but I am actually 12 years old. The whole time we were there, I was talking to the horsies in a way that would make no sense to any functioning human. I made my boyfriend film me hanging out with them, and amongst my delighted squawks the only sentence that can be heard is, "you're not a DOG, you're a HORSE! NEIIIGHH!" That video will never see the light of day.
Here's a little gif of my horsey adventures. Now that I watch it back, it kind of looks like I am torturing/teasing the horse, which was definitely not the case! Poor Mr Horsey! I just didn't really know where to pat it, haha. It feels very strange to pat an animal on the nose. Anyway hope you're having a good day. Bye!

Horsies!!! How cute is that little one up there?! Eeee!! I wanna hug him.
ReplyDeleteI rode a horse once when I was a kid....But he bucked me off and I fell in the dirt...I didn't like horsies for a LOOOONG time after that.
I do like how this place resembles the English countryside. As soon as I read that I thought, "Eep, I need to watch Keeping Up Appearances now!" So thanks for the reminder.
P.s. We totally need to skype date soon! Like tomorrow night or something (whatever time it is your time). I'll email you my skype name. :D
Aww aren't they gorgeous! I love that little one, but I do have to admit (embarrassingly) I did fall off a tiny Shetland Pony like that one once, turns out if you're riding a tiny horse bare back you will still fall off it when it gallops, even if your legs touch the floor...

lol OH YOU SO SILLY.
ReplyDeleteI drive by some horses on my way home from college and I've always wanted to get out and interact with them but I'm afraid someone will come out and shoot me.
Hahahahahahahha. That is all.
DeleteLove that gif hahaha! I used to go horse riding every week until I was about 13, then I discovered boys and shoes and I forgot about horsies =( how silly!
ReplyDeleteAnyway this post makes me want to go for a long country walk and stop at a pub half way! I am English so I can do this. I love the country! I also love your face in these pictures because you are clearly totally giddy =) xx

AHAHAHA!! This made my day. Great joke by the way. I get overly excited about animals too and talk to them in weird voices (mainly only to my pets though), haha, so you are not alone. I think I would be afraid to touch a horse I didn't know, but they sure look cute and friendly :]

Oh myyyy godddd, that GIF is the cutest thing ever!! I wonder what it is about horses that makes me revert to a squealing 12-year-old pre-teen
ReplyDeleteEven though I've owned horses since I was 8, I get just as excited as you every time I come across them. Like you, I have the childish enthusiasm of a 12 year old & I have to say this post has me grinning from ear to ear! Lovely photos & such a funny GIF hehe :)
