dress-up party

Well HELLO, bloggy people! It sure has been a while! I did not intend to neglect my poor sad blog for this length of time, but alas, life got in the way. The past month has been stupidly busy with moving out of home (!!!!), long shifts at work and university assignments. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate uni? No? I hate uni. It's stupid. But speaking of uni, I thought I'd show you the results of the first draft of a photography assignment that I had to hand in the other day. It's nowhere near done, and the final portfolio will comprise of ten images, but you will kind of get the gist of what I'm trying to do with these four images. The topic is "identity" and I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you can change your appearance in a zillion different ways, but still be the same person underneath all the makeup and clothes. Well, that's what I'm going to feed to my tutor, anyway. I really just wanted to have a big solo dress-up party.

I know what you're all thinking. "Oh my golly gosh, Kirsten! You should totally cover yourself in bronzer more often. You look really, really good." Thank you. I thought the same thing myself.

Anyway I'm going to go watch some Arrested Development now, otherwise known as THE GREATEST SHOW EVER. I have missed being in the bloggy land! Tell me your news! I'll probably start to post more regularly in the coming weeks. I really want to show you my new house! Ommmmmmggggzzzzzzz it's soooooo friggin awesome. Toodle-oo!

  1. Awesome photos. It's amazing how different a person can look just by changing their makeup, hair and clothes. Great idea and welcome back :) x

  4. YAY!!! I've missed you so much!!!! Eeee! When can we skype date again? I really hope my camera works this time.
And whaa?! Look at you with bronzer! You look like the people I see here in Jersey! haha My favorite is your gothic look - it appears so natural on you. Now I feel like watching The Craft...hmm...
I love me some Arrested Development, too. I watch it at least once a week for several hours. Get my fix and then I get on with my life.
So let me fill you in on my life, since this is already one of the most random comments evarrr:
~We started watching True Blood. Needless to say I daydream about being bitten and taken advantage of by vampires at least four times a day now. Don't worry, I told Mikey and he takes comfort in knowing vampires don't exist...or do they??
~We finished school last week so I'm about to have a LOT of free time on my hands. If only I had a disposable income and could just fly to Australia land and hang out in your new house. Ah, that would be sweet.
~That about sums it up. I'm not too exciting. :(
But I miss you and I really am glad you supplied me with not only one picture of you, but four super cool Kirstin-faces. :D
