i like presents

Completely irrelevant to this post but LOOK WHAT MY BROTHER GOT ME FROM NEW YORK AAAAHHH. Obviously the peanut butter cups are the most awesome of the lot.

Just wanted to do a little update explaining why I've been so slack on blogging recently! I started my new job last week, which has been going pretty well. I haven't worked since October so having a routine again is taking some getting used to. Also I have to keep reminding myself that I can no longer go to bed at 3am as it will result in extreme grumpiness when I wake up at 7am. By the time I get home all I want to do is watch The Only Way is Essex and sleep. This is ridiculous as it's not like I've done any actual work yet - all we've been doing is sitting in a room watching videos about workplace health & safety and manual handling. It's so tiring trying to look interested and attentive all the time! I have my first shift of actual work on Monday night, which is the Il Divo concert, so that should be pretty cool.

Also sometime next week I'm going to be setting up a sort of "shop my closet" thingo. I have heaps of clothes and a bit of makeup that I want to sell so that I can make room for more clothes and makeup. Hurray! I hope you'll check out my little shop when it's up and running. Farewell!

  3. Do you not get Reese's where you are? I am seriously wondering why I can't be a stay at home girlfriend. I've been unemployed since October too and I've been doing interviews and it's just so blahhhhhh.

    1. We do have Reese's here but they are either really expensive or really hard to come by. Or both. They're only really sold in American lolly stores, not so much in major supermarkets!

  8. Ahh glad I'm not the only one who's been a blog-slacker! Best haul ever - especially the Mario...phone cover?! Whatever it is, it's aces. Hope work is a whole bunch of fun, and that you manage to sort out the sleeping pattern (which is something I have still not yet managed to achieve!)

And OH, will definitely be checking out the shop. AWHHSOME.

  16. NOOOOO yoshi and mario omygod I want them. The thing with the mario print, is that a wallet? And with yoshi, a pillow cover? Anyhoo, whatever they are, they are just pure awesome. I wish I had a yoshi. :-( Good luck with the routine thing, on one hand I like routine because it gives you a sense of being 'needed' and 'useful' but on the other hand it gives you the kind of 'BAH I don't want to be so restricted!' feeling. Oh well, you'll get used to it. :-D
