Hello there! I would like to introduce to you my Christmas babies, Claudio and Edan. They are Ragdoll kittens and are exceptionally cute and squeeee. If my calculations are correct, there has been a 100% increase in the amount of sneezing done by me since receiving these little babies. I even put this information into a graph for you:

I think that's pretty accurate. I am a mathematician, after all. But for you, my little Ragdoll friends, I would sneeze all day every day. That's just how lovely you are.

Did anybody else receive Christmas presents as awesome as mine? My day itself was pretty excellent; I drove up to a little place in Queensland called Tuan to spend Christmas day with my boyfriend's family. I was so worn out from eating that I had a nap at about 2pm and didn't wake up until dinner time. PARTY ANIMAL IN DA HOUSE. I am sad that it is no longer Christmas, as now I have to wake up every single day until December 25th this year with the knowledge that it is not Christmas yet. WAAAAAHH.

It was my birthday yesterday, and HOLY CRAP I'M 24. Where did 23 go? I was content with 23. Being 24 means I'm almost 25, which is almost 30, which is almost 100, so I'm pretty much an elderly woman now. ARGHH. Clearly I haven't matured with age though, as I am still quite content to put on a party hat and play with sparklers. I'm an adult!

I had a pretty good birthday. My family came over to my house and we sat outside eating pizza and cake. My mum makes this fancy French pizza thing called a tarte flambée and it is the best thing IN THE WORLD. I implore you to force your own mothers to make this meal for you immediately. It is delicious and definitely worth getting fat over.

Speaking of eating food (when aren't I?!), there are a whoooooole bunch of leftovers in my fridge which I am now going to rub all over my face. See you later!

Books I have read recently:
The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell (what a cool name)
The Casual Vacancy by MAGICAL GODDESS J.K Rowling

I'm going to start this post by announcing to the world that I did not actually finish The Casual Vacancy. PLEASE DON'T EXPELLIARMUS ME, JOANNE. It's not that I didn't like it, and I am sure that I will continue reading it at some stage, but I just don't find myself caring enough about the characters to keep going. Has anybody actually finished it? Because I've heard a few people say that they couldn't get through it.  Also (and this irrelevant to how I felt about the actual storyline but whatever), the main character's name is Barry. BARRY. Really? You couldn't think of another name that doesn't rhyme with Harry? I feel that naming the character Barry has given me false hope. Like halfway through the book, he would just rip off a mask and be like "SURPRISE! IT'S ME, HARRY POTTER!" and then the story will turn into the "Nineteen Years Later" part in The Deathly Hallows. (If you've read the first few pages of The Casual Vacancy then you will realise that it would not be possible for Barry to turn into Harry, but I will reveal no spoilers here. JUST LET ME DREAM OKAY?!)

I'm so weird.

I really super loved The Hunger Games and Attachments, however. I tend to like books that are of a fantasy genre, romancey lovey-dovey genre, or both, so of course I was going to enjoy these ones. I read the shit out of these books, so much that my neck was constantly sore whilst devouring them. Devouring? Perhaps that was a bad word choice as I did not actually eat them. Anyway, I'm sure you would know about The Hunger Games, so I won't write anything about it, but Attachments is really interesting and worthy of your time. It's basically about an IT guy who falls in love with a girl through reading her e-mails. Sounds a bit creepy but I assure you it isn't.

I think I might start on His Dark Materials next because I have always wanted to read these books! Why We Broke Up seems pretty cool as well - it has a teacup on the cover so it has to be good. Right? Right.
